Scanning Slides

Scanning Slides

1)

Get the slide frame from the back room. It looks like this:

  • Take the slide frame and place it with the gray facing up and the gray corner on the upper right hand side of the scanner.
  • Place slides inside slide frame.

Remove the white attachment inside of the cover of the scanner.

When scanning slides, in the Professional Scanning Mode Window:

  • Under original:
    select film for document type, and Positive film for film type.
  • Under Destination:
    set Image type as “24-bit Color” and Resolution at 600 or even 1200;

4)

Now scan the slide, select it using the dotted box in the tool bar. You can rotate your image by going to Image > Rotate, and you have a wonderful image of your slide.

5)

Save the image, either as .TIFF, .JPG, or PNG, for your purpose: archive, web or presentation purp;
