Quitall running applications. The keyboard shortcut for quitting is [apple] + [Q] |

Arrange the files on the desktop so that they are organized by name and ordered spatially on the right hand-side of the screen. In Finder, go to View > Show View Options (keyboard shortcut [apple] + [J]) and make sure that all options match those shown below.

Ensure that the screen resolution is set to 1024x768 for the iMacs, and 1280x1024 for the G5 computers. Go to System Preferences > Displays, and select the appropriate resolution in the table on the left.

Make sure that each computer has the appropriate desktop image (see below).

Ensure that the home page for all browsers is set to http://www.colby.edu/lrc for the public computers, and http://www.colby.edu/lrc/studio for the media stations. Open the browser application. Go to (Browser name) > Preferences > General, and enter the web-address. Repeat this process for all the browser applications that are installed on the computers (Safari, Explorer, Firefox).

Make sure that the docks on all computers have the correct settings. To do this, go to Apple > Dock > Dock Preferences, and set the options as shown below:
Also make sure that all appropriate applications are found on the dock (see below):
