comments on #1:ethereal, shimmery, pearlescent yet gritty. I like it. I also really like the jagged border, what did you use to do that? Which filters? split the image into layers first?

I really like this composition - crisp and strong. However, the scratched-edges do not seem to follow the theme of the movieclip. Also, potential problems with placing this on a web-page in terms of alignment and fitting the image to different resolutionscreens. Can be center aligned, and extended to the dimensions of screenresolutions (although some Macs have different res dimensions from thenorm).

comments on #2:Interesting frame choice. It's the only one that displays the rayonistic elements of the video. Did you consider trying to pull the rays outside the video play area? I tried to do that ona different project and it looked better in my head than on the page. Is there a way to bring more of the interesting elements from this one into the page framing the video? Once it launches, all that's left will be the gradient background, or perhaps the glow as well ...

I agree that this one is unique in capturing the rayonistic theme of the movie. I don't foresee good integration of the movie-clip onto this back-drop. This composition might work if you removed the border and made the image continuous with the background such that the image sits snugly like a chameleon on a backdrop.

comments on #3:It is beautiful, and is not easy toreplicate on Photoshop (Well, at least to me it is). Good work on the "shnazzy"(how do you spell this?) side! Also good work on the composition. However, I would clean-up the image a bit before "publishing" - just a couple of artifacts.

comments on #4: Interesting that two us picked almost the exact same frame as a starting point. The colors are sharper than in #3, and a staging area for the movie is clearly present. I like the asymmetricality. Starting with such a large aspect ratio and scaling down after seems like a smart idea. This the the most polished image of the lot. The more I look at it the more I like it.

A tip: I discovered the burn tool while doing this assignment. In extending the flowing red cloth in my image, I wanted to have the red fade to black at the edges so that the cloth appears to merge into the black background. The burn tool worked really well in this respect, and also was useful in creating shadows and contours on the extended legs of the model.
