GifBuilder
This wiki as of forever is under construction. Anyone who knows anything else about GifBuilder, feel free to contribute.
Making Animations
GifBuilder is a program that runs on Classic. It allows you to make gifs that are animated when put on an online browser. GifBuilder itself is pretty simple, but the animator needs to have a basic understanding of photoshop or other editing program in order to make a successful sequence.
Creating files in photoshop
Edit an original photo or picture in photoshop by creating multiple files and making changes off the original. Or work off of one window and save each time the new layer is complete.Just be sure to save each file under a different name. Let's make the rain gods happy by animating a rain cloud. |
Opening GifBuilderGifBuilder is currently on the monitor's computer, LRC 9, and the faculty computer in the back room. Opening GifBuilder will open the Classic mode on the Mac if it not already open. | ![]() |
Organizing an animation
![]() | Drag the files from the harddrive to the Frames window in GifBuilder. Once inside the window, the files can be rearranged if the order is out of sequence. |
Interframe Delay
Interframe Delay is the amount of time between each frame in the sequence. It can be accessed from the Options menu. Changing the delay will affect only the frames that you have highlighted in the Frames window. Notice that delay can be up to a second long.

Looping
| This is how many times your animation will replay. The looping option can be accessed under the Options menu. | ![]() |
Running your animation
| Preview your animation by choosing Start under the Animations window, and stop it by choosing Stop. If you are happy, save your project. And you're done! | ![]() |
