March 19, 2013, in Winslow, Maine, at 79. In the 1970s she worked at the Waterville High School library, and in the early 1980s she became the first woman to serve as a state of Maine liquor commissioner. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Sam, two sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren.
