Hello, friends! It sounds like it has been a busy fall and winter for everyone. My husband, Jon, and I welcomed our third daughter, Linley Fowler Charette, in September. She joined sisters Ellison, 4, and Alden, 2. The girls and I are gearing up for a summer of traveling for my husband’s triathlon schedule and for our third annual trip to Vermont to race in the Covered Bridges Half Marathon with Bliss (Woolmington) ’02 and Pat Bernal and Ben Schreiner and his wife, Amanda. * Scott and Melissa Alioto Murfey had their third son, Ryder John Murfey, Oct. 9. He was a month early but is healthy and has made his two brothers, Carl, 6, and Laird, 4, very happy … so far! * Christian and Whitney Dayton Brunet welcomed Benjamin Johnson Brunet Nov. 21. They enjoyed their first holiday as a family of four in Vail where they saw Piper (Elliott) ’02 and JJ Abodeely. Their two kids, Porter and Keaton, showed Webster Brunet how to rip it up on the mountain. * Lindsay Prichard and husband Michael had a baby, Louisa Jane, Dec. 4. They see Simon and Caroline Blair McKay, who welcomed Walker Blair McKay in October. Caroline reports that they are all in love with this little guy, especially big brother Jack, who reminds them often that Walker “can’t walk, can’t talk, and has no teeth!” Caroline works as an attorney in the advanced markets group at John Hancock Insurance. * Gareth Osborn and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed their second child, Archer, in September. Their first child, Darcy, is 3 1/2. They all live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gareth continues to work for Nestlé, where he is a program manager focused on logistics initiatives for their ice cream and frozen pizza divisions. * Jason Freedman and his wife, Michelle, are adjusting to life away from the East Coast, living in San Francisco. Exciting news is that Jason was elected as a partner at Ropes & Gray last fall, doing M&A and private equity transactional work. He was sad to see his classmate (and tax lawyer extraordinaire) Kase Jubboori leave Ropes this winter but happy for Kase that he got a great job at Bain Capital. * Junko Goda lives in Los Angeles and is an actor and producer for smaller projects. After doing Japanese subtitling for more than five years, she’s now freelancing as a Japanese interpreter/translator/subtitler and working part time at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences—yes, her boss is Oscar. She’s also gotten into horseback archery. * Angela Makkas is getting married in May to Bill Rougas in Cambridge, Mass. * Elizabeth Hoorneman received an M.A.T. in art education from Tufts in 2013 and is now teaching high school art at the Bromfield School in Harvard, Mass. * Virgile and Wynter Stinchfield Courmont welcomed their second son, Theo Edward, Dec. 11. Best Christmas present ever! Big brother Simon, 2 1/2, loves him so much and can’t wait for him to “get bigger” so they can play. * Beth Festa Alhstrand made partner at law firm Seiger Gfeller Laurie, LLP, where she focuses on insurance coverage litigation. She’s expecting her second child in July with husband Kurt. * Elizabeth McGann married Nat Heald in September. Colby alums Alana Rezaee, Robin MacColl Fennimore ’01, and Beth Festa Alhstrand were bridesmaids, and attending were Caroline Blair McKay, Jeff and Katie Lee Fishbone, Sam and Darcy Lynch Clark, and Whitney Dayton Brunet.
