, July 20, 2011, in Augusta, Maine, at 58. An advocate for locally grown Maine food, she was a founding member of the Fedco Warehouse that distributed food to Maine co-ops. For 23 years she worked for the state of Maine, where she initiated the Maine FarmShare for Seniors program and helped create the “Get Real, Get Maine” motto. She was a photographer, a lover of water sports, and a tennis player. She died from ovarian cancer. Survivors include her mother, Anita, a sister, a niece, and a network of friends.
