Henry Kammandel ’38, July 1, 2012, in Omaha, Neb., at 96. He emigrated from Germany at age 11, graduated from Colby, and earned his M.D. degree at Tufts and joined the Army in 1942. He was an Army surgeon in New Guinea when he met his wife, Mary, a registered nurse in the Army. He practiced urology, first in New York City and then for many years in Omaha. His wife of 66 years died less than a week after his death. They are survived by a daughter, a son, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
