Mildred Wheaton Rush ’42, Jan. 28, 2013, in Howland, Maine, at 94. She worked several jobs in order to attend Colby but withdrew at the outbreak of World War II. In her early 60s she was determined to complete her degree but first had to learn to drive so she could attend classes at the University of Maine, Orono, where she graduated. Predeceased by her husband, Richard, a son, and nine siblings, she is survived by a daughter, three sons, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
