Harriett Matthews, professor of art at Colby College in Waterville, will exhibit sculptures and drawings in a solo exhibition at the Colby College Museum of Art from February 24 to April 14. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and the public is invited.

Matthews’s artwork includes welded steel pieces, small bronze sculptures and drawings. The landscape drawings are from different regions in Greece and the city views are from Matthews’s Athens apartment balcony. All of the works in the exhibit have an underlying visual, cultural, social and historical influence taken from Matthews’s regular visits to Greece.

Colby museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. For information call (207) 872-3228 or visit www.colby.edu/museum.
