The Colby College Museum of Art will be closed on Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day. The museum will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 28.

Currently on display at the museum are The Joan Whitney Payson Collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Art–26 works by world-famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists–and Drawn from a Family: Contemporary Works on Paper–more than 100 watercolors, gouaches, charcoal drawings, collages, ink and pencil drawings.

Upcoming exhibits at the museum include floral arrangements by Central Maine Garden Club members for Art in Bloom on Thursday, June 6, and Aerial Muse: The Art of Yvonne Jacquette and Maine Works by Rudy Burckhardt, which both open July 17.

Colby museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. For information call 207-872-3228 or visit www.colby.edu/museum.
