Twelve seniors working in the studio arts at Colby College in Waterville will exhibit their work at the Colby College Museum of Art May 8 to 25 in the college’s annual Senior Art Show. The students will exhibit paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures and digital media. An opening reception will be held Thursday, May 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and the public is invited.
Leah Robertson, Madeleine Mineau, Shelley Hughes and Laura Collins will exhibit paintings. Damaris Drummond, Danielle O’Steen and Emily Darman Allen will show sculptures. Kristen Vaughn will show both paintings and sculptures. Jake Hobart will exhibit paintings and digital media. Anna Carvill will exhibit drawings. Jeff Dickson will exhibit prints. Etan Wenger will exhibit sculptural paintings.
Also on view at the museum is Foreign and Familiar, a series of photographs by Dee Peppe. The exhibit features large black and white prints of locations in Maine, the United States, Central America and Europe. Peppe’s work is based on her fascination with humanity, her interest in architectural forms and her passion for travel.
