The Annual Department of Art Exhibition at the Colby College Museum of Art opens on Friday, November 18, with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the museum lobby. Admission is free and the public is invited. The exhibition remains on view through January 2, 2006.
The exhibition brings together a wide variety of work in various media. Paintings by Bevin Engman, Margaret Libby, Garry Mitchell, Abbott Meader, and Scott Reed will be on view along with raku pottery by Nancy Meader, mixed media by Bonnie Bishop, photography by Dee Peppe and Jere DeWaters, and sculpture by Harriett Matthews. In addition to painting, Libby and Reed will exhibit video and printmaking, respectively.
The Colby College Museum of Art is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and will be closed for the holidays on Thursday, November 24, Saturday and Sunday, December 24 and 25, and Sunday, January 1.
