Professor of Government Sandy Maisel appeared on WCSH-6 TV to discuss the role of Maine’s Senators Snowe and Collins in the economic stimulus package.
“I think that our Senators are in a very powerful position right now,” he said, given that the Senate has 58 Democrats and 60 votes are required to pass the bill. Both Senator Olympia Snowe and Senator Susan Collins have a history of crossing partisan lines.
Maisel, director of the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement at Colby, appeared with Bowdoin Assistant Professor of Government Mike Franz. The program aired Feb. 5 and is available online.
