“When I opened my blind on Sunday morning I noticed that there was
something by the pond,” reported Molly
Muller ’11. A resident in the East Quad dorms, she went out at around 8
a.m. Nov. 14 with her roommate and spent 10 minutes stalking a
cow moose that was feeding alongside Johnson Pond.
Despite working with
a camera with limited zoom capability, Muller said she got close enough to take several nice photos before the moose headed into the woods nearby
the pond. When she reported the visitor to Security, she was told it had
been hanging around all night, and she said it stayed close by much of
the day, so a number of students got to see it.
“Pretty interesting,” Muller concluded in an e-mail.
