As a weekend nor’easter arrives in Waterville, the College remains open, but some events have been canceled.
The DJ Enferno concert scheduled for Friday night is postponed until later in the semester. A Taste of Waterville will take place next Friday, Feb. 15, instead of today.
Concord Coach Lines has canceled buses for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9. The regular schedule, which includes stops at Colby, will resume Sunday, Feb. 10.
Date and time changes to athletic events are as follows:
Women’s hockey home games scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. with Wesleyan University have been changed. Saturday’s game has been moved to a 5 p.m. start, while Friday’s game will be played Sunday at 2 p.m.
The men’s hockey team will not play at Trinity College Friday night. That contest was moved to a 1 p.m. start Sunday. The Mules will play at Wesleyan Saturday at 4 p.m.
Both men’s and women’s basketball games originally scheduled for Friday at Connecticut College are postponed. Those games will be made up on Sunday, with the men’s game starting at 2 p.m. and the women’s at 4 p.m. The Colby basketball teams will still play at Wesleyan Saturday, but game times have been moved to 5 p.m. for the men and 7 p.m. for the women.
The Division III Individual Squash Championships at Bowdoin College from Friday to Sunday have been called off and will not be made up.
The Colby indoor track and field teams will compete at the Tufts Invitational on Sunday (was Saturday), with a time to be announced.
Colby’s swimming and diving teams are still scheduled to host the Maine Event on Saturday, but a start time is not official at this point. The meet likely will be held later in the day.
