Faculty Music Associate Stan Renard and his group Bohemian Quartet will release an album of traditional Romani music at a special event and concert in Providence, R.I., Thursday, Dec. 5. Renard is conductor of the Colby Symphony Orchestra and the violin/viola applied music associate at Colby.

The album, Silhouette, features Renard on violin, Nancy Richardson on viola, Christine Harrington on cello, and Dave Zinno on upright bass. They specialize in “music of the Romany or 'Gypsy' tradition, along with related Eastern European folk styles,” according to their press kit.
