Ben Fallaw, associate professor of Latin American studies, was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities summer stipend grant for his project “Between the Maya and the Mexican Revolution: Bartolomé García Correa and Mestizo Ethno-Nationalism.” The grant will enable him to complete a book manuscript under contract with the University of Texas Press. The book’s title is Between the Maya and the Mexican Revolution: Bartolomé García Correa and Mestizo Politics.

Fallaw also has been invited to give a seminar, “Between the Maya and the Mexican Revolution: Mestizo Politics and the New Peonage in Yucatan, 1920-33,” May 30 at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
