Scholarly Resources and Services Librarian Marilyn R. Pukkila recently published jointly with Ellen Freeman, formerly of Colby’s Academic ITS, the paper “Co-Viewing: Creating Broader Participation Through Ethnographic Library Research” in Participatory Design in Academic Libraries, a publication of the Council on Library and Information Resources. The paper reports on a study that uncovered the remarkably varied (and often surprising) research practices of senior seminar students from all four academic divisions through mapping interviews and real-time demonstrations, which were then co-viewed with a wider library/faculty audience.
