For the third year, Colby students have taken the Test WiDaF (Business German as a Foreign Language Exam) through the German program’s certified WiDaF testing center—one of only five centers of its kind in the United States. Two Colby students, Anhduy Nguyen ’14 and Deanna Morris ’17, not only took the test, they received the highest scores possible.

Paired with Colby’s business German course, the Test WiDaF enables students to certify proficiency in international business German, which can translate to jobs and internships with international companies including Deutsche Bank, Lufthansa, and Siemens. With high marks on the test, Nguyen plans to relocate to Berlin this fall and take advantage of his language skills as he starts his career.
