Professor of Science, Technology, and Society Jim Fleming will be a keynote speaker at a conference Oct. 24-26 in London, Ont., titled “Knowledge and Models in Climate Science: Philosophical, Historical, and Scientific Perspectives.” Fleming’s talk is titled “Dynamic Climatology: Historical Perspectives on Shape-Shifting Nouns.”

The conference is the second annual conference put on by the Rotman Institute of Philosophy at Western University in Ontario. It will bring together researchers to discuss the use of models in understanding the climate from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
