Assistant Professor of Anthropology Winifred Tate was invited to present her research on U.S. drug policy at the Women and Shadow Powers workshop in Mexico City on Nov. 12. The workshop brought together women human rights defenders from Mexico, Central America, and South America to strategize about their work in regions experiencing drug-related violence and organized crime. The Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights, a foundation that provides grants to women and transgender human rights defenders and advocates for women’s rights, organized the workshop.
