Through the Kidz b Kidz program, Colby students partnered with preschool children at Educare Central Maine in Waterville to create a quilt featuring drawings by the preschoolers. The children gave the completed quilt to a seriously ill boy at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland. They watched the boy open the quilt via Skype.
“My Colby peers helped these children to understand the difference they can make in another child’s life,” said Hannah Corderman ’16, founder of the student-led Kidz b Kidz Colby chapter.
The Kidz b Kidz mission is to teach empathy, charity awareness, and empowerment.
