Associate Professor of Chemistry Jeffrey Katz has been named a Cottrell Scholar by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.
The honor was given to the top 50 faculty, or about 3 percent, of the previous recipients of the Cottrell College Scholars Award, which was awarded to faculty in the fields of chemistry and physics at predominantly undergraduate institutions. Katz was recognized as a Cottrell College Scholar in 2004.
Cottrell Scholars join a network of teacher-scholars from undergraduate colleges and research universities. They are invited to participate in the CS Collaborative, in which teams of Cottrell Scholars work on educational projects with the potential for significant impact.
