Student exhibition Art Stories opened June 4 at Common Street Arts in downtown Waterville, the culmination of a six-week workshop for local high school students led by Colby artist in residence Shirel Horovitz.

Horovitz, an artist from Tel Aviv, worked with the students in several media including sculpture, writing, drawing, and photography. According to Horovitz, students were asked to explore the “fountain of possibilities” that emerge from their interaction with objects and materials they found around them.

The exhibition is open noon-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, June 7. It also includes work by Horovitz.
