Associate Professor of Art Gary Green’s photographs of the New York music scene from 1976–86 are currently being exhibited in Italy at the Urbanautica Institute. The institute, which collaborates with authors and organizations around the world, presents photography through exhibitions, books, reviews, workshops, and lectures. In the accompanying text, Green describes this time in New York as unique, saying there was “a common angst and enormous artistic energy.” Images and text can be viewed at urbanauticainstitute.com.
