In a story titled “Colby’s first Waterville downtown development piece is in place,” MaineBiz highlights the completed renovation of 173 Main Street. “There are some ways development progress is easy to measure,” MaineBiz reports Feb. 28. “For instance, a fully-occupied four-story, 22,000-square-foot building that had been mostly vacant for decades.” The story also tells of the historical connection the building has to the community as well as noting that more changes to the downtown are coming, including construction of the Bill and Joan Alfond Main Street Commons. “This is going to be a really vibrant Main Street,” Brian Clark, vice president for planning, told MaineBiz.
