Marcques Houston ’18 was profiled in a March 22 Morning Sentinel story about the impact he makes as a sprinter on Colby’s track team and as an advocate for social justice. Drawing a parallel with the writing of William Faulkner, one of Houston’s favorite authors, the article describes Houston as “making the complex and difficult seem easy.”  Track and field coach Dave Cusano said of Houston: “Most important is his leadership, his competitive spirit, and his willingness to be a team player.” Houston also works for racial justice, organizing a march last October. “To see almost 500 people at the march that day was one of the proudest moments of my life,” he told the Sentinel.
