Dan Shea, professor of government, was quoted in a May 1 Wall Street Journal article titled “Maine Gov. LePage Ending His Two-Term Tenure With More Vetoes.” LePage’s time as governor has been less about consensus building and more about digging in and “bringing the system to a halt if necessary,” Shea told the WSJ. “Mr. LePage has drawn national headlines for his brash comments and clashes, but Mr. Shea said, ‘a big chunk of electorate applauds this sort of recalcitrance.'” Wall Street Journal subscribers can read the full article here.
