Adam Howard, professor of education, and three former students have published an article in the British Journal of Educational Studies titled “In service of the Western world: Global citizenship education within a Ghanaian elite context.” Coauthored by Pat Dickert ’18, Gerald Owusu ’17, and DeVaughn Riley ’18, the paper “employs postcolonial perspectives to examine the possibilities and limitations of drawing on Pan-African ideas to establish practices and meanings for global citizenship education at an elite secondary school in Ghana,” according to the abstract.
