Dinesh D'Souza to Present Lecture at Colby, May 2

On Wednesday, May 2, at Colby College in Waterville conservative author and policy analyst Dinesh D'Souza will present the lecture "Racism Is Not the Problem." The 7 p.m. lecture will be in the Page Commons Room of Cotter Union and is open to the public free of charge.

D'Souza is the author of books including Ronald Reagan: How an Ordinary Man Became an Extraordinary Leader, Illiberal Education and The Virtue of Prosperity: Finding Values in an Age of Techno-Affluence. His articles have appeared in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal and The Weekly Standard.

D'Souza is currently the Olin Research Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He is also the Young America's Foundation Eichenberg Presidential Scholar, serving as the foundation’s spokesman for the public defense of President Reagan's legacy in print, television and public appearances nationwide. D'Souza previously served as a senior policy analyst at the White House from 1987 to 1988 during the Reagan administration and has been a guest on such television programs as Crossfire, Good Morning America and This Week with David Brinkley.

The lecture is sponsored by the Young American's Foundation, the Colby Cultural Events Committee, the Colby Organization Administrative Committee and the Colby Republicans, a student-run political organization.
