Computer Science Festival at Colby

This year students in Colby College's computer science department have been working on some exciting projects, including development of original computer games and three-dimensional worlds, interactive art, cognitive science, data mining and computer security. To show off some of this work, the department will hold a computer science festival from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, on the fourth floor of Colby's Mudd Building. The festival is open to the public and refreshments will be served.

During the festival, students will demonstrate programs, including a three-dimensional virtual world, an artificial life experiment and computer-generated art. Other presentations and demonstrations include role-playing games, battle games and networked simulation games; and computational analysis of ecology, biology, chemistry and economics data.
