Colby Yard Sale September 3 On Tuesday, September 3, from noon to 6 p.m. Colby College will hold a yard sale featuring used household items. The event is open to the public and will be held in the field house of the Harold Alfond Athletic Center on the Waterville campus. Items for sale will include lamps, dishes, clocks, refrigerators, shelving, sporting goods and more. The yard sale is sponsored by the Colby group RESCUE (Recycle Everything! Save Colby's Usable Excess). Established in the 2001-02 school year by faculty, students and staff, RESCUE collected a tractor trailer full of reusable household items from students departing campus in the spring. Items were sorted and cleaned and some were donated to local charities this summer. Proceeds from the September 3 yard sale will help support the RESCUE program.
