Colby Republicans Sponsor Same-sex Marriage Lecture March 3 On Wednesday, March 3, at 8 p.m. at Colby College Andrew Sullivan, former editor of The New Republic magazine, will make the case for same-sex marriage in his lecture "Same-sex Marriage in America." The event, sponsored by the Colby Republicans student group, will be held in the Page Commons Room of Cotter Union on the Waterville campus. The event is free of charge and open to the public. A leading authority on same-sex marriage, Sullivan is the author of the groundbreaking essay "The Politics of Homosexuality" (1993) and "Virtually Normal: An Argument About Homosexuality." Sullivan is a frequent contributor to the New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine and the Sunday Times of London.
