Colby College announces its September events. All are free (unless otherwise indicated) and open to the public.

September 11, 7:30 p.m.
Portland String Quartet
Lorimer Chapel
The program will feature Hugo Wolf's Italian Serenade and works by Alfredo Casella and Claude Debussy.

September 13, 20, 27 and October 4 and 11, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Chekhov's Major Plays
Room 100, Lovejoy
This free, five-week class will explore Chekhov's life, his four major plays, and his influence on drama in the 20th Century.

Ethical Grace: An Approach to Early Confucian Thought with Dr. Bob Eno of Indiana University

David Hackett Fischer, author of Paul Revere's Ride and professor of history at Brandeis, will discuss the consequences of the American Revolution.

Finding a Fit for Your Book: Professors and Publishers

Join Gillian Berchowitz, senior editor of Ohio University Press, for a discussion on publishing.

Ben Folds Concert
Alfond Athletic Center, Wadsworth Gymnasium
Star of the popular band Ben Folds Five, the talented pianist is now out on his own. Tickets $15 with Colby I.D., $20 everyone else, available at Bull Moose stores.
