Colby Art Faculty and Instructors Exhibit Work

They spend their time teaching skills to others, but once a year the Colby art faculty and instructors take the spotlight. The Annual Department of Art Exhibition at the Colby College Museum of Art opens on Friday, November 12, with a reception at 4:30 p.m. in the museum lobby. Admission is free and the public is invited. The exhibit remains on view through January 9, 2005.

This year's exhibition brings together a wide variety of work in various mediums. Paintings by Bevin Engman, Margaret E. Libby, Garry Mitchell, and Scott Reed will be on view along with pottery by Nancy Meader, monoprints and mixed media by Bonnie Bishop, photography by Dee Peppe and sculpture by Harriett Matthews. In addition to painting, Libby and Reed will show drawing and printmaking, respectively.

The Colby College Museum of Art is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free, and the museum is accessible to people with disabilities. For more information call 207-872-3228 or visit www.colby.edu/museum/.
