Colby will celebrate February as Black History Month with a month-long film festival series, "Where the Love is Generous," as well as a lecture. All events are open to the public free of charge. Black History Month grew out of "Negro History Week," begun in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson and tied to the birthday of Frederick Douglass.
