
Flute and Harp Concert at Colby
Flutist Jean Rosenblum and harpist Karen Rokos will present a program of music for flute and harp on Saturday, February 26, at 8 p.m. in Colby Colleges Lorimer Chapel. The concert is part of the 1999-2000 Music at Colby concert series. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
Rosenblum and Rokos will perform works by Gabriel Fauré, Johann Krumpholtz, Josef Lauber and Henk Badings. Rosenblum is an applied music associate at Colby and principal flutist for the Colby Symphony Orchestra. Rokos is principal harpist of Symphony Nova Scotia, the Nashua (N.H.) Symphony and the Maine State Ballet Orchestra. Violist Mary Jo Carlsen will join Rosenblum and Rokos to perform Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp by Claude Debussy. Carlsen is an applied music associate at Colby and concertmaster for the Colby Symphony Orchestra.
