On Thursday, March 2, the Maine Recruiting Consortium will hold a professional job fair at Holiday Inn By The Bay, 88 Spring Street in Portland. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include more than 80 participating employers. Recent college graduates and current students are invited to attend. There is no registration fee. Candidates should bring plenty of resumes and come "dressed for success."

Representatives from more than 80 companies doing business throughout Maine, the Northeast and the United States will be on hand to collect resumes and speak informally with candidates. Both profit and not-for-profit organizations will participate and offer positions in management training, sales, financial services, retail, wholesale, human services, manufacturing, science and technology, engineering and computer sciences. A sampling of organizations scheduled to attend include Dartmouth-Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Filene’s, MBNA New England, Investor’s Bank & Trust, Olympia Sports, MassMutual, State Street Corp., the Spurwink School and the Peace Corps.
