On Monday, April 24, at 5 p.m. Maine photographer and sculptor Brenton Hamilton will speak in room 154 of Colby Colleges Bixler Art and Music Center. The lecture is open to the public and free of charge.
Hamilton creates cyanotypes representing allegories and fables, free of conventional references, to tell stories with a quiet depth. He takes his ideas from history, refitting images to produce new possibilities. Hamilton lives and works on the harbor of Rockport.
