The Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. However, the museum will be open on Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, of the holiday weekend. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Currently on exhibit at the museum is the Art of Alex Katz in the Paul J. Schupf Wing and the Joan Whitney Payson Collection. The 26 works in the Payson Collection, on view through Sunday, June 18, include paintings by world-famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists. From Friday, June 2, through Sunday, July 9, "Paintings by Jacque Rochester," an exhibit of oil paintings, will be on view. "Modernism & Abstraction," a traveling exhibit of American art masterpieces from the Smithsonian American Art Museum, will be installed at the museum beginning Tuesday, August 1. The 70 major paintings and sculptures will remain on view through October 15.
