Oak Institute and Colby Present Human Rights Series

At Colby College, a series of noontime talks this fall will focus on human rights issues around the world. Topics range from American-Indian human-rights issues to problems in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia. Lecturers include members of the Colby faculty, inaugural Oak Institute Human Rights Fellow Zafaryab Ahmed (if Pakistan permits him to leave his country) and professors from the University of Maine and Wesleyan University.

All talks are from 12 noon-1 p.m. and participants may bring a lunch or purchase one in the building where the talk is held. For information contact Professor Julie de Sherbinin, at 872-3664. The full schedule includes:
