Fleming, whose new book, "Historical Perspectives on Climate Change," has just been published by Oxford University Press, will discuss: What have people understood, experienced, and feared about the climate and its changes? How have privileged and authoritative positions on climate been established? By what paths have we arrived at our current state of knowledge and apprehension? What does a study of the past have to offer to the interdisciplinary investigation of environmental problems?
