Ariel Dorfman's drama "Death and the Maiden" will be presented by Colby College's student performing arts society, Powder and Wig, at Colby's Strider Theater Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-6. Show times are at 8 p.m. Tickets, which are $2 for students and seniors and $3 for general admission, can be purchased by calling the box office at 872-3358 during the week of the show.

The play examines torture, retribution and forgiveness in a 15-year period following the fall of a dictator in Chile.

The cast is made up of seniors Ben Grasso (Arlington, Va.) and Melissa Trachtenberg (New York, N.Y.) and junior Ben Liston (Lafayette, Calif.) "Death and the Maiden" is directed by Colby senior Michele Machalani (Waterbury, Conn.) as a part of her honors project for her performing arts major.
