Colby Symphony Orchestra Concert is October 30

At 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, in Lorimer Chapel the Colby Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jonathan Hallstrom, will perform its first concert of the season. Part of the 1999-2000 Music at Colby Concert Series, the performance is open to the public free of charge.

The orchestra will perform the premiere of Dream Talking, composed by Hallstrom. Also included in the program will be Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1, Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture and Chausson’s Poéme for Violin and Orchestra, featuring Colby violinist and concertmaster Mary Jo Carlsen.
