Waterville community radio station WMHB-FM will hold its annual holiday food drive/music give-away on Saturday, December 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its studio offices in the basement of Roberts building, Colby College. Donations will benefit the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter in Waterville.
Students and community members are asked to bring canned food to the station on the day of the food drive. In return WMHB will give away music CDs, records, posters, tapes, videos and more. For every five cans of food donated, the donor may choose a give-away item. Give-away items are first-come-first-served, so donors are encouraged to arrive early. "The music items were generously donated by several record companies and wed like to thank those who donated items for this worthy cause, said Lee LHeureux 03 of Waterville, WMHB hip hop music director.
WMHB is a college-community radio station that serves the greater Waterville area with a diverse blend of music including rock, rap, metal, jazz, blues, world beat, folk and country. It is a non-profit educational radio station at 89.7 FM run jointly by Colby College students and local residents.
