Four-time All-American Kate Sheridan '09, the leading scorer in the history of women’s lacrosse at Colby, will play for a club in Australia, the Boston Globe reports.

After a 16-2 season and a second consecutive NESCAC title, women’s lacrosse has been named eighth in the nation in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll.

Lacrosse standout off to Australia...Four-time All-American Kate Sheridan '09, the leading scorer in the history of women's lacrosse at Colby, will play for the Wilderness Lacrosse Club in Australia. "It's not an easy thing to give up, especially for women, because there are not as many chances to play for women as men. I thought it was a great way to extend my career a little bit and keep lacrosse involved in my life," she said.
