On February 25, 2008 Dr. William Bicknell, Chairman Emeritus and professor of international health, family medicine, and sociomedical sciences at Boston University delivers a never before given lecture on the culture, morality, and impacts of HIV/AIDS in Lesotho. Dr. Bicknell has been working recently with the government of Lesotho to build a health care system that works to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS. His lecture touches on a number of topics including why the epidemic is particularly bad in Lesotho, how to prevent and slow the epidemic, and the case against safe sex.
