Each fall during Family Homecoming Weekend, President William D. Adams discusses the state of the College in a talk with visiting parents and alumni. On Oct. 18, 2008, he began with a detailed discussion of the impact of the world economic crisis on Colby before turning to important programs and initiatives underway at the College. The bottom line: Colby's finances and operations are stable, thanks to decades of careful fiscal management and conservative spending practices.
