David Simon Gives Medieval Forum Keynote
David L. Simon, Jetté Professor of Art

David L. Simon, Colby's Ellerton and Edith Jetté Professor of Art, will deliver the keynote address at the 34th Plymouth State University Medieval and Renaissance Forum Friday, April 19. 

The theme of the two-day forum is "Travel, Contact, Exchange," and Simon's lecture is titled The Anecdotal Way to Santiago de Compostela. His talk will be streamed live on the forum's website beginning at 3:45 p.m. Friday, April 19.

Simon’s areas of expertise include Romanesque and Gothic art and architecture, modern architecture, Spanish art, and early Christian, Byzantine and early medieval art. He is currently teaching a course titled El Camino: Art of the Pilgrimage Road to Santiago de Compostela.
